my bulb which was in a dark garage has started shooting but seems thin and hollow what do I do now ?

Hi Barber, This seems normal with Amarillis, they tend to start shooting again after a couple of months or so, you did the right thing by moving it to the garage but now I think its time to bring it indoors again before it gets too leggy.

If its an old bulb (2-3 years) it may be worth re-potting into a slightly larger pot, being ever so careful not to damage the roots. Mix in a little granular fertilizer with the potting soil, water in and put it in a sunny location and feed with a well ballanced house plant food and repeat the feed once a month. Good Luck Tbird+
