Plastic sheets

I'm looking for somewhere to buy some large pieces of clear, rigid plastic, but I haven't had much luck. The dimensions I need are about 2.5m x 1.0m.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I buy sheets of acrylic from any large DIY store -wickes/do it all etc. They cost about 10 per sheet but not too sure of the exact dimensions.I need them for the roof of my old conservatory and they do fine - except they craze after exposure to changing temperatures. I can hack that as this is the only size and thickness they stock. To buy larger/thicker sheets on the net the cost goes up pretty steeply.
Thanks for the information (so they do exist!). All I need the sheets for is a cheap alternative for glass, to be used in making a large indoor vivarium (in which someone wishes to keep a small tree frog, if you're interested). Would a better option be to look for some sort of kit, or could this turn out to be even harder to find?
Hi Squirrel - found this Gecko kit for 47.95, take a look http://www.pets-supply.co.uk/reptiles.html
Right kind of idea, but that one's a bit small for what we're aiming for.

There's a picture of a huge empty box on that page which is of roughly the same sort of shape as we are trying to make. Ours will have a smaller base and have transparent sheeting on two sides instead of one, if all goes well. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be possible to build something like this ' a simple frame, really ' it's just I don't want to force the frog to live in what it (she) is at the moment for much longer because it's too cramped. I need to make a certain anonymous person see things my way on this'
