Hello my lovely partner returned from shopping for xmas fare with a rather nice wreath for our front door demanding that i fit it forthwith ufortunatly my front door is upvc and the top half is glass i've been pondering this qundry for most of today as how to fit the afore mentioned object please help me with my dilema.
Try one of those plastic square hooks with sticky adhesive on the back. Some string might be needed to fasten around the wreath & the hook but it wont leave any holes in the plastic
I fasten mine with fishing line I tie one end to the top of the wreath over the top of the door and secure it to the letter box then back through the letter box to the bottom of the wreath Done this for several years
I use the square plastic hook method but instead of using the sticky back (Where the hook invariably falls off) I remove the sticky back and then use a glue gun to stick the hook on the door. If you need to remove the hook use a hair dryer to soften the glue and peel it off.
I would recommend one or more big suckers to suck to the glass upper half of your door therefore it will not cause damage or bother. My only worry would be the weight of the wreath on the suckers, which is why a suggest getting the biggest possible and a number just incase!
DIY shops sell these and places like wilkinsons ans little 'handy 'shops.
