I'm thinking of leasing my 2bedroom flat to my local council for a set period or a housing association but i've heard alot of good and bad stuff about it. Has anyone had any experince of doing this. (v little info on website). Short of doing this has anyone sucessfully leased their property by using online property services? Any recommendations? Are 'letting agencies' worth using to let my property. Any advice given most welcome

Thanks!

I'd prefer Council: not going to default or flit, and they'll accept responsibility for repairs. They'll pay rent, won't be unemployed, and will ensure that you don't need to pester (or be pestered by) sub-tenant.

Letting agencies are a source of frequent problems, even though many are OK. See LandlordZone websites for a flavour of the problems which they involve!
