A (not close) friend of mine is getting married and i want to buy her a present. i looked on her wedding list but there is nothing within my price range left. i was thinking of spending about 20-25 and would like to get something housey as they dont live together yet.

Can anyone help me with any ideas? What kinds of things did you get when you got married (if you are married) that you liked that are within that price range?

Are the gifts on their wedding list from one major store? If so, yo might get them a gift voucher for that store. Not original but at least they can buy from ranges they obviously like.
i got a friend a lovely photo frame for her wedding. she loved it and still has it displayed with one of her wedding photos in it. you can buy some gorgeous ones from john lewis / debenhams etc for that price range.
I think you can never have enough towels, cutlery or bedding. A nice double duvet set for when the do set up home would be my choice.
Hey Chazza, hope ur well. I got married last year and some of the most welcome gifts we got which could be well within your price range were photo frames - im sure you can imagine there was loads of photo's proffessional and otherwise taken on the day and it was great that we had frames to put them into - if we hadnt of had them they would prob neva have been put up! Hop that helps

a nice bottle of pink champagne is always a nice house warming pressie :-)
Someone did us a bouquet of things like wooden spoons, spatulas, a sieve, a rolling pin, skewers etc all wrapped up in paper to look like a bunch of flowers. It was quite unique and very useful. Someone else didus a hamper which contained things like spare light bulbs, serviettes, dish clothes, rolls of cling film/tin foil etc - all the stuff you need to have lying around your house but it can mount up to a lot of money if you have to go out and buy it all at once
following on from 'pingping' ... you can get some really nice wedding photo albums ...
How good are you with Photoshop?
Are they getting married in a 'pretty' church?

I took a lovely church photo, tidied it up, and made it sepia. printed it A4 size and had it mounted & framed ... the couple loved it.

A more original gift you won't find.
