Air Conditioning System

Does anyone have one of those air conditioning systems that you plug in your room, to keep cool in summer? Which brand would you recommend? Many thanks - Thinking ahead !!

Havn`t got one myself but have read unless you`ll willing to spend quite alot of cash then don`t bother because the cheaper ones are apparently useless. You have to put ice in them and in return it blows cold air past it. Wouldn`t class that as air con myself

Yes, we have one and it`s great, but, as the first reply suggests, not exactly cheap. The make we have is Amcor and if you google that name you will find plenty of info including price comparisons. If money is not a problem then I would recommend that you get it `plumbed` in, in other words get a hole cut through to the outside wall so that you don`t have to have a window open and an ugly pipe hanging out of it. (It`s a bit like a tumble dryer pipe.) All the necessary bits for that come with the Amcor ones, just needs a DIY enthusiast or tame builder to do it!
