hi just about to hang some lining paper on some not so perfect walls but always get alot of bubbles which look awful when painted although i think i rub it out enough when hanging!! (i think) am i using the wrong grade paper ?(thick/heavy weight). any handy tips to try many thanks
I always use a roller than a brush to put the paste on. This ensures an even distribution.
Depending on the thickness of the paper I would normally past maybe 2 - 3 or 4 drops at a time. When you have finished pasting the last drop it is time to hang the first drop. That way it gives the paper time to absorb the paste.
As the man says leave the paste to soak in before you hang the paper. If you are painting the wall paper try slitting the bubles and then work some paste underneath and press down, ensure any overlap cant be seen by light casting a shadow.
