I have a really nice necklace but the chain has gone black. I do not think it is silver. What can I clean it with?

Try leaving it soaking in Coke overnight ( the real stuff, not diet). It cleans coins so might just work.

Line a bowl with tin foil and fill it with water then put soda crystals in. Soak your necklace in the solution for a few minutes. It works really well on silver but test a small area first. (I got the tip out of Kim and Aggie's book - How Clean is your House!).
