boiler cover

Could anyone recommend a company which do boilder / central heating cover ? Our suppliers are N power, we did take the service out with them but have had a totla nightmare (5 call outs - problem still there, service now cancelled) We though about Britsh Gas, has anyone had any experierences with them?

I've used British Gas for years and am very happy. Not sure how they compare price-wise, but they service the boiler annually as part of the deal which gets some of the money back anyway.

We had to call them recently - we had a new boiler installed, the plumber (not BG) was an idiot without a clue - we had him back a few times, went through the whole charade of "it's meant to do that" "no, I think I'll try this" etc etc then he sent his own electrician who was just as useless, then just stopped returning our calls. This lasted over 6 months. Called BG - hey preston, one fully working boiler within a week - and no extra charge. Even though I explained the situation, and none of the problems were their fault, they still sorted us out! Can't speak highly enough.

That should be 'hey presto' not 'preston' - I don't want rumours spreading that I'm Chantelle or anything :-o

British Gas. No complaints...

We also use them to cover our plumbing, electrics and kitchen stuff under their Homecare plan. �34 a month covers all, but you can just get it for your central heating.

We're with British Gas too - Excellent service but if you need them in a hurry in cold weather claim you have a young child or old person in the house.

JSB good advice, but I've never even had to go that far - they've always offered same or next day without prompting.

Sounds like they're doing something right, judging by the replies - we should claim a commission!
