Has anyone got one? and if so can you please tell me how the shampooing bit works, I have managed to soak all carpets and not a drop has been sucked up. My main confusion is do I have to switch between showering water, and sucking up in the same operation? I too scared to try it in case it blows up! Easy instructions please and thank you.

I'll go first, shall I: Bob Dylan gave a concert last night in a small rock club in the very building that I'm sitting in right now (the library and the rock club are in the same block) and I didn't know about it until it was too late. 800 guests only. I knew he was coming to town to perform at the golf ball (Stockholm Globe Arena) but I've done my share of arena gigs and that didn't tempt me. But this little club that we're talking about, it's tiny and it's just a few blocks away from where I live - it's home. I've a lump in my throat writing this, will keep it in, don't want the librarians to come and shush me...
bob how could you
Any more tickets, please. We might as well do the Grand Scenic.
(Thanks Jude for explaining. Sounds very nice!)

...but I did see a Bruce Springsteen concert in Gothenburg in the eighties that's become legendary; it's known as the gig where 65 000 people walked in and half a million walked out (meaning that it was so good that people would lie about having been present.) I bought a t-shirt there that I slept in for the following twenty years...
Wanna take it outside, Robinia? (I love cats.)

I am a bit the worse for wear having had a lovely day browsing round the shops and market with my sister in law and getting bargains in M&S ..three T shirts...the cheapest one free !! And jeans.. although at my great age I should really be wearing twin sets and hairnets.. ..according to Lampwick.....and all the other silly people who think that because you are approaching bus pass age that you are no longer useful or have anything worthwhile to say.
Can you tell I have the hump with the world in general !!

Oh Kit, how tragic, virtually performing in the neighbour's living room and you didn't know! Honestly, I would be hitting myself over the head with a copy of Positively 4th Street if it happened to me.
Well, Spamalot was very funny but I think they spelt the jokes out a bit more than in the film. Warning: if you go do NOT sit in seat D1. The fridge is empty (surviving foods transferred to a small spare fridge hidden under the stairs). Really need to get some gelatine to rub over the new freezer when it comes, so it's easier to defrost [handy hint] but our local supermarket is closed for refurbishment. Oscar the Irishman should be along to fix the fence on Friday. What a busy little bee I am.

I know, Neti, but the wotsit that stops it frosting up also takes up a fair chunk of space of what would otherwise be freezing compartment, and I need all I can get. The fridge space is rather small, until we rebuild the entire kitchen (which has been planned for 5 years and will be another 5 years yet, if it ever happens)
mornin' grumpies....
'got the hump with the world'?....pah! I've got the hump with the universe.....must be the season for it. Still can't shake this flu feeling so every little thing is driving me to distraction......and it's raining......& I have to go & see the nurse on my rubbery legs at 12.50 which will coincide with the lunchtime closing of the 2 pharmacies in this area.....which means going back again......
....and don't get me started on fridge freezers.....
....or washing machines.....
sorry you were talking to yourself again Kit even tho', not being a great Dylanette, I can't really share the pain but I can empathise with the crashing disappointment.....I feel that everytime I look in the mirror.
great pics jno
