Patio problem

About 5 - 6 years ago I had a patio laid with greyish/beige blocks similar to bricks. Much of it has become discoloured and heavily speckled with white blotches and it looks a mess. I'm told it is salt coming from the blocks. It won't wash off or shift with a broom. Has anyone else had this experience and any ideas how to deal with it please?

I think its the lime coming out you can buy a cemical that cleans this off.
I was told Acetone will git rid of it.

Brick acid is probably your best bet, my paver hubby isn't in at the mo, but I'm sure thats what he would suggest.

Just spoken to my hubby and yes I was right, brick acid is what you need to use. I think its hydrochloric acid or something like that.

Very many thanks for your replies and for pointing me in the right direction. It looks as though something called Disclean will be right for the job.
