Does anyone know of an adhesive that can be used to repair a small crack in a 300 litre plastic water butt?

I think the plastic is probably polytjhene but I'm not sure.

I use car filler: it may be a good idea to make the crack a little wider, fill then cover with waterproof tape.

Experiment on a part of the butt where it does not matter.
Good luck,bricro.
Milliput is a great product and it sets like granite, it can be used on water tanks on boats , and boats suffer from vibration when being cruised and it doesnt crack the miliput ... and you can even grind the miliput to give a smooth finish.
I wouod use a glass fibre kit available from motor accessory stores.
