My cat has left scratches on my new leather suite...not intentionally I hasten to add, I was wondering is there any cream or polish I can get that can help alleviate the pain... or should i just get rid of the cat.,..

my cat has done the same. Its the distressed look!! I'd be interested if there is a solution
We bought a new leather sofa from Ikea. On day one, both of our cats took one look at it and then ran their claws from top to bottom on one end. I think it is there way of working out what something is. A dog would have sniffed it. We would have just felt it. But no, a cat has to really try it out! They only ever did it that once though (and yes, they are still with us).

After coming down of the ceiling, we tried using a felt pen to cover up the slightly different colour that the scratches had revealed. It worked a bit. We then put a folded throw at that end of the sofa to cover it up. When we moved, we positioned the sofa in the room so that end was against the wall.
