How much for artificial lawn?

I hate mowing my lawn and was thinking of getting artificial turf instead. Hubby thinks it will be very expensive - any ideas on cost? The area we need to cover is about 12ft square.

Instead of putting artificial lawn down why don't you get coloured gravel?

It's supposed to be hubby's job to mow the lawn......*sigh* but we just don't seem to have time for looking after it, and we both hate gardening.

We have 2 dogs and 2 children and they both need grass to play on iyswim. Gravel would be a bit harsh on them.

The stuff they're selling in Lidl isn't heavy duty enough, sadly. I need the proper stuff.

my neibour has had it laid and although he put in drainage my garden is in ruins its like a big bog every bit of rain runs of his into mineweve had to put down trampoline cos it was sinking we cant use it at all it so soaked specially now the rain is apon us

I think it is a good idea, i also hate to do this and wants an easy solution to it.
