hi all i just started a new job as a painter, i havent done it long but would like some info about wat type of brushes i should be using for such things as a quality gloss finish and for emulsion work? also wat type of rollers should i use, so far the work i have been doing is interior but no doubt i will be doing some external work soon. any help would be appreciated thanks.

You're employed as a painter but you have no idea what brushes to use??? That sounds promising! As you must be a trainee try asking your employer what you should be using.

and its quite obvious you dont have a clue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Personally I prefer Harris for quality work with gloss/undercoat but use a series of cheaper brushes (Wickes) for emulsion.
I must confess I find it a bit of an odd question too.
