I took the rubbish out his morning and when getting in the car to go to work I noticed the garage door was extremely broken, in that the door was locked shut but the top had bowed/bend inwards so bad a person could climb inside the garage through the gap.

I have not noticed the door like this before, and I do not know whether it is due to the change in weather or not. The door is under no real pressure or force. I will get someone to look at it but it looks bad.

Has this happened to anyone else???

Many years ago council lock-ups in our area suffered from this. Kids would swing on the guttering and push in the top of the thin up-and-over door. This would pop the catches, and they, (and their parents!), would help themselves to whatever goodies were inside. Non-drying paint on the guttering eventually stopped it happening.
The wood has not been seasoned before use and would apply to any wooden structure.
rain and heat do no good for any type of garden or exterior thin timber?

is it a precast garage? i sell precast garages and we offer a 10 yr gaurentee on them? is your covered still?

so sorry just found out the garage is one of those wood effect doors it is actually metal all over, sorry about that did not feel well yesterday so was not all there.

When home last night and the door was the same 'bowed' look but as it is metal that would be 'buckle' now.

Any thoughts?
Could it be heat expansion? All metals expand a small fraction therefore if held securely in one corner will try to move elsewhere. ie take old type rail tracks, they have a gap every so many metres to cater for expansion..
