i have had a new front door fitted and back it's the type when you lock it the handle it will not go down i was wondering about security of the doors if someone was to force the handle down it would obviously brake the door but would the door still be secure and still be able to be locked and unlocked when i put my key in thanks suna

If you force the handle down it will probably break the connection between the handle and the sliding door release mechanism. The lock is still likely to be able to be operated to remove the bar from across the sliding locking mechanism but the handle will no longer move the release mechanism.
In short, you won't be able to open the door. But they are strong, and huge force would be necessary to do this.
