Hi i would like to add a outside double socket one for the mower lights etc and one to attcach a water feature. luckily enough my outer kitchen wall has a double socket on the inside therefore i pressume this would be easy to put an outside one on the outer side - what cost would an electrician charge, what unit should i go for? I have seen the units that you lift a flap - plug in your plug and then the flap totally encapusulates the plug which seems the best option, but suggested makes would be great guys. if you could give me price for a double unit and then labour that would be super duper - THANKS x
How old is your house there is a good chance that you may have an RCD board fitted already, if so then yes you can purchase an MK double socket for around 30, these are the best, the socket would be protected by your house board, if not then yes you would need an MKRCD socket these are around 45, an electrician would charge in the region of 20-40 to fit, it is a quick job if you have a socket in the kitchen that you can back-back with the new socket.
