im thinking of buying a window wizard, but i need to know if anyone has used 1,before i waste my money,it looks good on the adverts and makes cleaning windows easy, but people get ripped off so many times when things dont actually do what they are supposed to do.thanks
its on the shopping channel, type window wizard into google and u can c wat it is,it washes your windows inside and out at the same time,it looks really good, its magnetic and u get 1 for single pane windows and for cleaning glass and stuff and 1 for double glazing, ive ordered 1 so ill let u know what its like, thanks
Do not waste your money! I have tried both the double glazing and the single glazing ones, neither do a good job. They don't reach the corners. Also when you get to the bottom of the pane of glass, by the time you've managed to get the two halves parted you have a big mess of suds left behind. They maybe of some use on a large pane of glass if you don't mind going back with a cloth to do the corners, but if you have small windows, they're hopeless. The double glazing one only works on windows with an air gap of up to 28mm beyond that you have to return it and get them to replace with the 'de-luxe' model. Another thing is that its such a strong magnet that they slam together very easily and its difficult to get them apart without damaging them. Its very painful if your finger is in the way when they clamp together too! Watch their video they don't do the corners!
Mine arrived yesterday and I cleaned all my windows (11 in all) in less than an hour... they really are that simple to use.
The magnets are extremely strong so you do have to be very careful that you don't trap your fingers, but the instructional DVD shows you how to avoid that.
At 29.95 for a set of single and double glaze cleaners, mine will have paid for itself within 2 months, since my window cleaner charges 15 per month.
Plus there's the added convenience of being able to clean your windows whenever you feel like it... without climbing ladders or waiting for the rain to stop.
In response to Mazzer's reply, there is a "nack" to doing the corners....
Position the Wizard's spong in each corner and wiggle it up and down, then left and right. Then turn the Wizard and use the blade to get the suds out of the corners.
And if you're getting suds left on the window then you're using too much soap. If you have ever watched a professional window cleaner, they only use the tiniest amount (as I mentioned in my previous post).
Also... as it says on the box "Practice makes perfect"
