I have a lilac bush that I planted as a twig. It has grown into a beautiful 5 foot bush, but does not bloom. It is about 4-5 years old. Any suggestions?

If your lilac looks healthy enough as you suggest, I think that it is just not mature enough to flower. My own was bought as a twiglet from woolies about 8 years ago and it's only really about the last couple of years that it's flowered. It's now about 8 or 9 feet tall. So I would suggest all you need is a little patience.
