Cat Poop

How can I stop cats pooping in my garden? I just want to deter them rather than kill em! All other suggestions have included some sort of poison or barbed wire. None of which are practical due to me having small children! Many thanks,

Really strong pungent curry powder , or very strong onions chopped up and scattered in the garden , try it ,good luck .

Srategically placed bottles of Smelling Salts, buried upto the neck does it, this worked in my garden.

Try orange peel apparently cats hate citrus. Alternatively, get a cat as they are territorial and deter other cats, and they don't mess on their own teritory (bit drastic tho try the orange peel first!)

Get a cat !! They don't poo in their own garden, and keep other cats away !!
