Don't throw it out!! Keep it somewhere light, an east or west facing window sill is ok as long as any direct sun is filtered (by voile for example).Water once a week & add about half recommended dose of liquid food.It may take a while but it will flower again! Meanwhile, wipe any dust off the leaves with damp cotton wool to keep it looking fresh. If it doesn't already have an attractive pot why not buy one to cheer it up? Simply drop the existing one inside the new one & fill any gaps with orchid bark chippings.

Hi Glenis, I realize you posted this a long time ago, but it depends on the type of orchid you have. Take a look here to see if you can find the info you need. http://www.orchidlady.com/ http://members.atlantic.net/~dorchids/ Newt
