My Dog's collar (chain link style) gets all rusty after swimming in the sea,.Any suggestions how I can clean it up?

It means the metal on the chain is corroding when coming into contact with the salt water, so it�s days are numbered. You might find washing with vinegar helps, but it�ll happen next time and I can�t help wondering if it is degrading when it�s next to his skin too. How about getting him a fabric collar for swimming in?
