get back to the seller, they surely need to send items in appropriate condition. They may have way to deal with creases, or I would be asking for replacement.

Is there no way of ironing it at all? I was thinkin of ironing with a damp towel over the reverse of it.... Would that work? I really dont wanna damage it.
I assume sending it back isn't an option? You could try ironing it the way you say, you could try hanging it somewhere steamy, but either might damage it?

Youw ould be right in that assumption, got it from eBay... I have nowhere steamy to hang it, but d you think that that method of ironing it will damage it? i honestly have no idea...
yer bathroom or shower?
Try hanging it over a damp towel or, if you have a steam iron, hang it & keep pumping the steam onto it.
I bought a silk painting back from India, it was rolled in a tube. I laid it out with a huge book on top to flatten it. Didn't work. So I ironed it under a clean tea towel with a very cool iron. It did the trick. But do be careful not to stand the iron for ANY length of time!! Doris
