The dial on my fridge reads 1-10, is 1 the coldest?

Without seeing it, I would assume that 10 would be the coldest.

on my fridge, the higher the number the colder it is. One bit of advice, if you go into somewhere like Wilkinsons then buy for about a quid a fridge thermometer then you can check if the temp is within the right guidelines. hope this helps
