How to remove marks from wood.

My son put a candle in a glass holder on the drawers in his room, I think they are beech, they are very light coloured with a slight shine. It has made a circular mark on the wood, I don't know if it is because of the heat or if it was wax on the bottom of the holder, it doesn't seem greasy or anything just left a slightly darker ring. Has anyone any suggestions how to get rid of it. Thanks.

Aspestolux will do it. and no its not a danger to use even though it sounds it.

I know Jewsons stock it but i guess and builders supplier will have some.
