how do I get rid of mildew stains on curtains

depends what curtains -

shower curtains - vinegar
net curtains - try lemon juice and salt mixed to a paste

also what i use for the majority of stains is put some concentrated washing up liquid on the area, rub it gently, leave it approx. 20mins, then rinse

ive tried all these tips successfully
