My kettle fur is normally white (chalky area), but has recently become bright green! Should I be worried?

well it could mean that a copper pipe has started to shed itself into your water, probably best to have a word with the water board
Throw it away, as It sounds like the copper element in your kettle breaking down. Time for a new kettle!!
