I'm not sure what your question is but, yes, the nux vomica is a tree found mainly in the East Indies. The name comes from Latin 'nux' = nut and 'vomica' (from 'vomere') = vomit. Its berries contain strychnine and other poisons, which is no doubt how it got its name. On the other hand, these 'drugs' are not all bad, some being used to make heart stimulants.

Is any of that what you wanted to know?
