Can a dishwasher drain be hooked up to a washing machine drain?

Several ways of doing it, If your current set up uses a standpipe, either fit both hoses into it or get a second standpipe and an adaptor to double the socket. Or if it's direct into the sink U-bend/trap, then you can get extra fitments for it. Go to a good plumbers merchant, rather than DiY store. Cheaper & Better advice! Phone first to see if they need additional info [type of fittings - screw or push fit etc.
Be careful if you use both machines together. A lot of standpipes can't take the flow from both at once resulting in minor floods (I know, I've done it!). Otherwise no problem putting both waste pipes into a common standpipe.
