Vacuum filter!

I finally got around to cleaning this yesterday- the white frilly thing in the machine. It was GROSS and I kept running it under the tap and eventually had to get a stick to remove all the mud-like cack that was stuck in the folds.
My question: how long should I leave it out before I put it back in the machine again? I am scared of blowing it up! The insides are still damp after 24 hours, but the folds are very close together so is there a better way of getting it dry?

A night in the airing cupboard should do the trick. You can't be that desperate to restart the vacuuming?

I take it your vacuum didn't come with a spare one? Mine did so I wash one and put the other one in for a while, then swap them over again. Maybe you could buy a spare?

Yes - you can. Get in touch with customer services and ask them to send you another one. Don't think they'd be very expensive.

Sounds like a HEPA filter. They usually can be washed and then left to dry.

Why exactly do you want to get back to the hoovering?!
