i have had 4 new pumps in my pond they only work for a few weeks then stop. Some have shorted and blow the fuses and some just stop. i have tried different leads and checking the connection but was wondering if it could be the house connection but everything else works ok. Any suggestions?

Is the water full of particles which may be clogging thepump inlet ?

no they don't slow down just stop entirely. they do block up a bit but i keep them clear. The first two would work but blew all te trip switches in the house. It cant be a coincidence
this sounds very weird, if there was a wiring problem then i would have expected it to have set off the trip switch straight away, not run for a few weeks and then pack up.
i wonder if water could be leaking into any switch box that you have out in the garden (like mine are)
i would get an electrician in and have it investigated properly
