does anyone know rougly how much it will cost to fit a new washing machine program dial, and how long it will take...my machine is 10yrs old so wonder if it will be worth bothering...
In all truth I wouldn't bother. it'll probably be cheaper in the long run to get an new machine, and there are some good offers in the shops at moment. These days, a machine is expected to last about 5 yrs so you've done well.
It depends on the make and model. I would seriously think about getting it repaired before you just chuck it away.
And if you were to get a new one i would look away from the so called 'cheap bargains', as after all there is a reason they are cheap.
This happened to ours a few years ago and when we spoke to someone to fix it, we were told it would make more sense to buy a new one rather than spend the money on fixing this part
