Can you take successful cuttings from fuscias and can the non hardy varieties be stored overwinter successfully?

Yes, They're easy to root. Just cut below a leaf joint, remove the bottom leaves and leave about 2 or 4 leaves on. Put in a pot of damp compost and cover loosly with a plastic bag. Leave in a cool, shady place and they should root.

Non-hardy plants should be cut hard back and left in a cool but frost free place in winter. When they start to grow in Spring you can take cuttings from the new growth.

I just cut below a leaf joint, remove most of the leaves except for the top couple and just stick the cutting in a (small) glass of water on the window-cill. In sunlight if poss! Takes about a week to start growing little roots. Then I just pot them up with whatever compost is in the shed. Works a treat!
