looking for advice for friends of mine who have just bought a new home, they have a seperate concreate garage at the side of the house which has lighting and electric sockets because of all the heavy rain, went into garage to find a great big puddle about 5mm, it dident come through the door or the window or from above, they mopped up the water to find more coming in afterwoods, the rain had stopped by this time, there is a small slope about 4ft behind the garage, has anyone any ideas what could be causing this or what they can do to ressolve it , because this was after 7 days of purchasing it apparently theres nothing they can do, the previous owners must have known about this but dident mention it, appreciate any comments
Sounds liie the Damp proof course in either the floor or walls has been breached.
You say there is a 4ft slope behind the garage -does the slope touch the garage wall ?
thanks for your reply, yeah the slope does come right down to the wall, but not sure if there something between the soil and garage i know it was high winds and heavy rain but surely would't have thought it would have come in like that, hes going to check tommorro if there is anything between the soil and garage wall, mind you after noticing the water in the garage we checked the back of it, the soil was soaked, will let you know ok
