Had a leaking boiler last Sunday (from inside boiler). Called out our service providers and they replaced the water pressure switch on Thursday. Hot water has been running much slower since then and we were discussing it this evening (when I'd decided to give up waiting for the bath to fill and have a shower instead). Hubby then noticed it leaking again - but this time from a pipe below the boiler - it's slowly dripping. I can only describe the pipe as a horizontal pipe with a valve in the middle which can only be adjusted with a screwdriver. It has a blue sticker around it (don't know if that means anything). The leaking has definitely only started this evening as I've had paperwork below the boiler and would have noticed if it had leaked at any other time since Thursday as the paperwork would have got wet. water pressure gauge is as it should be and apart from the dripping pipe and slow hot water, there's no indication from the boiler of anything wrong (no warning lights etc). Hubby says the water that's dripping is cold water! Any ideas anyone.........please help, I've had enough now !!!

This is not a professional answer but I think the plumber has disturbed the horizontal pipe,check that the joints at either end are tight also check the valve screwdriver slot is running in line with the pipe. ie fully open
Blue I think would donate cold.


yellow for gas blue for water

sounds like its the cold mains feed into the boiler.
are you sure its actually dripping from this pipe as often the drip can be coming from higher up in the boiler and the drip then falls onto something lower down giving the impression its coming from there.
if it is coming from the pipe you suspect then i would hazard a guess that they have turned off the cold mains feed into the boiler to make the repair because those valves are prone to leaking once they have been used and turned back on. one option is to replace the valve the other is to wait and they usually seal themselves up after a while.
if the waters slow then its probably down to a flow restrictor in the new flow switch, this may be adjustable.
call your service providers back out and tell them your not happy.
everyone should be aware that these boilers are very complicated machines and not every engineer can be an expert on every different make and model and we cannot always fix a problem first time.
