hi,
i wonder if anyone can help me, i am a keen knitter and i am looking for a knitting pattern for a scarf that is knit in one of the new feathery wools, and it seems to be knit in loops, the scarf is round rather than flat, i have seen one made but cannot for the life of me fathom out how it is done,
thanks

Have a look here marbil

Diane had loads of patterns for that type of wool. You may find something there or
http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/....
although that is an American site and you need to convert wool and needle sizes.
You could try putting "Loopy scarf" into Google that may bring something up.
If it's in the round it is probably done on a circular needle .

I think what you need is not a pattern, so much as the equipment - a sirdar loopa. You use it instead of knitting needles to create the loopy effect you're after. Try this site http://www.angelyarns.com/sirdar/loopa.php. Just costs 1.99. I bought mine in John Lewis's.
