Concrete roof tiles

Should concrete roof tiles be nailed down? On my 40-year-old roof the "bottom left" tile keeps slipping down. It has protrusions on its underside, but they don't seat properly on the wood batten because one side sits on a sheet of something. Maybe there was a fixing which has rotted away with time. Any advice please?

Basically, if there is a hole in the tile to take a nail, yes, if not, no. You can get a special roofing nail (the name of which escapes me) which has a lead tab on it (Might not be lead nowadays). The idea is you hammer the nail into the nearest batten to the bottom of the tile, then place the tile on the batten and fold the tab over the bottom edge of the tile which then stops it slipping down. If you look around, you may see some on older rooves.

Thanks, sddsdd. Don't see anything like that on the other tiles, and I don't think there's a hole in the tile. I'm too old to become an amateur roofer (though this is easy to get at), so maybe I'll have to call in a man who knows about these things to have a look. The cement filler at the edge has come loose too.
