hi, 2 years ago my brother painted the bathroom with metal paint, my questions is can i paint over it with emultion paint and tile over it or do i have to get the paint off the wall first, and how do i get the paint off i so, thnak you

get a scrap of plywood, about 6 inches x 12 inches, band loads of small nails through it until they JUST poke through..
all you do is rub it all over the painted wall and scratch through the paint, the tile adhesive will have a good KEY onto the wall then ... if you can, get a tin of UniBond, and paint the wall with a dilute solution before you apply the tiles....they'll stick even better.
