Daily Gas useage
1 Answers
Hi, i'm currently trying to get my gas bills down to a reasonable amount and could do with a bit of comparison to the way other households work.
I'd like to know how many gas meter units the average household uses?
I currently have a condenser combi boiler and the heating is on for 7 hours a day also there's the hot water useage aswell. This currently adds up to around 6 meter units per day which i think sounds quite a lot?
I've only just had the new boiler fitted last weekend due to my old one being outdated and having a bad leak which contributed to me getting gas bills of 116 per month so now i've got the new system in i'm wanting to get this down and quick!
Any help would be great

When we had some nice days recently, I delayed my heating coming on in the evening because it was quite mild.
I think one needs to turn it up and down depending on the weather. I am usually too lazy to look but sometimes my husband changes the setting from high to low on mild days.
