What kind of cavity wall insulation can be installed in a timber-framed, end-terrace house about ten years old? Advice received is that the "pressure-foam type" is not suitable because the gap falls slightly below the minimum for Scotland. It has been suggested that the "pearl-type" may be suitable. If it is, where can a reliable installer be found in Central Scotland?

I believe you are right about the use of bead insulation.
Some suppliers do both - trying ringing a few from the Yellow Pages.
