Best way to clean solid wood floors

What's the best way to clean solid wood floors?

I find if u give the floor a good brush,a small amount of disinfectant in a basin with hot water and wipe with an old cloth it does the trick,this works better than those soapy floor cleaners..i think, u can also wax them now and again.

I know you're not meant to get them wet because it can soak in and make the wood swell up but I alway use a mop *very squeezed out* with hot water and a small amount of Fairy Liquid.
