Is it an estimate (E) or a reading (R) & do you read your own meter? It is always worth doing so because the meter readers do make mistakes. I had an electricity bill for a two-bedroomed flat recently (cooking/central heating by gas) for over 800 for a quarter. It turned out that it was for a flat in a different block on the same site so do check the meter number which shows on your bill to see if it is actually yours they've read.
Ive not had any problems with them either Bathsheba. Plus the fact all the other ones i know of require a BT line. Virgin are the only one ive heard of that dont
Thanks everyone - Virgin it is, then. (Don't worry DSJ: very sound advice, anyway!)
I have now established that there is cable in my road. What's actually involved? Do they have to dig your front garden up and stuff, drill through your wall etc?
We`re more than happy with Talk Talk (now they`ve caught up with demand. You keep your existing no. & no rewiring. Round our way the cable outlet is a 2" pipe at the property boundary, & they have to find a route up to & into your property. Presumably they install their box of tricks inside.
Yes they do snodgrass, but it only took them 5 mins, + they cleaned up after themselves. I was well impressed! I had their broadband + TV package also.
