My ideal bed

My friend was telling me that in Germany you can buy twin beds that you can attach together (with a catch at head and foot) . They are just far enough apart so the matresses don't knock together, and if you sprawl yourself out across both beds (when you've got them to yourself) then you don't feel an uncomfortable gap or bump in the middle. I'm a light sleeper and my partner plays football in his sleep, so that is exactly what I'm looking for. But where can I buy it/them in this country?
