Gutted - got caught in yesterdays rain/sleet/snow and has marked my 2 day old Mulberry bag.

Will phone Mulberry for any suggestions but are there any tips in the meantime?

Thanks!

Thanks for the correctly observed unhelpful pointless comment, it was however a 30th birthday present so it means a great deal to me. Plus jealously is a very unattractive trait.
Sorry, can't help with removing the water marks but if Mulberry are able to give you suggestions, you could try having it Scotchguarded by a dry cleaner, or home aerosol spray to act as a water/stain repellant in future. If the bag cost a lot of money and can't be taken out in the wet I'd be tempted to argue that it wasn't fit for purpose and ask for it to be replaced, or have the money refunded.
My daughter has a Mulberry handbag ( a tanny colour) and all I can tell you is they darken with age and so things like that are not so noticable - she has 3 young boys and so you can guess the battering it gets...But with age it all seems to blend in....And as for Zacsmaster he can keep his asinine comments to himself... its telling though that for someone with such lofty ideals, he knows what a Mulberry bag is...

Thanks all.

Tip from Mulberry - Work the leather with your hands and the natural oil with disperse the water marks and also get a metal spoon and rub the inside of the bag with it which helps push the natural oils back to the visible side of the bag and also disperses the marks. (I though it was April Fools when I heard that one!)

But after a couple of days use, it is full of character and I love it even more!
I also have a problem with a leather hat. I was caught in a heavy shower and it now has an ugly water mark all around the crown. I have tried rubbing it with a suede block and re-damping it - nothing has worked as yet. If I can remove the stain then I will spray it with scotch guard. Any ideas?
