When replacing a hot water cylinder should it stand on blocks to allow air circulation or can it stand on the floorboards ?

It doesn't matter, mine is on the floor and ive never had any trouble...
Its whole base should be sat directly on to a flat surface capable of holding the weight of the cylinder it shound never be stood on blocks. As the cylinder is required in part L of the building regs to be fully insulated anyhow air circulation would be a total waste of time.
