If its a temporary thing I used to use pipe insulation like
this for a marble coffee table when my niece was a toddler. I used the
22mm stuff because the marble was quite thick. You just open up the slit and with some sticky tape, a craft knife and a bit of blue peter-esque jiggery pokery you can cut a few wedges out at the corners to bend it and manufacture a custom fit bumper that you can pop on and off when required. Alternatively you could just cut it to length and bend it or just have straight runs?
Not too pretty but you could paint it if its to be semi permanent I suppose?
Get enough so you have some to slide over the front edge of the glass on the smaller nest tables if they protrude?
Hope this helps, those sharp edges scared the bejeesus out of me!
