Humax PVR, good or bad ???

Some of you may have seen my various questions on the above and I have been very gratefull for your help. Went to Currys on fri. and bought the 9200T. went home staraight away , read the insts. and connected all the cables and checked again. Switched on and could not get the install. wizard as manual said I would. In the end phoned the Humax help line in Havent and explaned the position. The help guy asked all the usual question and got me to remove and replace all the cables and still no good after a lot more chat he said I would have to get a install. expert to set it up for me. I tol him I did not know of anyone and as I live in a small hamlet in west Wales it would cost a furtune to get a expert from Swansea 80 miles round trip. In the end he said he could not help any more and put the phone down.By now I am mad, �180 down the drain and Humax could not care a dam.
Then got through to Currys and the 24/30 options. Go through the rigmarol again and the same tests still no go then in the last ditch he told me to reverse the scart cable around which I was doing when
