Has anyone got any tips for a good way to start off one of those galvanised garden waste incinerators. I find it difficult to get it burning and it goes out usually soon after I put a few leaves or branches in.

use those small fire lighters as you would for a BBQ. Put paper on top of them then add the dryer stuff first. You may find your leaves and branches are damp so they will not burn so easily.

Buy some kindlecones from www.kindlecone.co.uk - they have a great range, they smell great whilst you store them, and they are eco friendly. Build up some kindling around the kindlecone and wait 3-5 minutes until that fully takes hold, then start adding smaller dryer stuff and gradually build up to fill the incinerator just above the vent holes, then place the lid on and wait untikl that burns down below the top two layers of vent holes before topping up again.
