You could try washing them and putting them in the tumble dryer. It's amazing how much fluff comes off things in ours.
I always wash them first
I always wash & tumble dry new towels, it really does soften them up & gets rid of the excess fluff. Just take a look at the filter afterwards!
Hi Mrs. Mosco, Lint is the fiber of cotton that sheds from the towel. There are different types of cotton, long and short staple. The short staple sheds more and is a less expensive cotton. From this site: http://www.laundrytoday.com/questions/answers_12_99.htm#12_9 9_01 "The most common problem is short-staple cotton," said John Urquhart, General Manager of Unichem Corporation in Chicago. "The term `Made in the U.S.A.' doesn't mean that the cotton was milled in the U.S.A. and does not mean that it's good cotton. Short-staple cotton loosens and breaks more readily than long-staple cotton. It lints and pills, if not in the first wash, then in the second, or third, or fourth, or fifth. The short fibers loosen and come out faster. You wind up with lint." I would suggest that you wash and dry the towels separetly several times. Always wash and dry them separetly. Newt
